who runs Butters by Teni?

Teni. I'm a 20-something-year-old, Nigerian-American woman from GORGEOUS PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, who was tired of being ashy. I started this business because, apparently, everyone else was tired of being ashy too.

what is body butter?

body butter is an alternative to lotion. I formulated mine because regular, store-bought lotion wasn't getting rid of the ashiness, and I couldn't keep walking around like that.

when should I use body butter?

use it however you would use lotion. I love using it immediately after a shower so I can seal in the moisture.

can I use this in my hair?

you sure can. it is soft and lightweight, making it a great choice to seal in moisture without weighing it down.

is this safe to use on my face?

it is! I use it on my face all the time, especially in the winter. however, I would be cautious if you have naturally oily skin. the body butter absorbs into the skin very quickly. 

I'm allergic to nuts. can I buy a body butter without nut oils? 

yes, you can! when checking out, please write in the special instructions box "remove nut oils" or any other note that indicates you would like them removed. 

my body butter has lumps, is this normal?

YES! they are what I call little nuggets of joy. it's just raw shea butter. see how I don’t play y’all?

real shea butter has texture! shea butter crystallizes when it is made, giving it a grainy texture. if you happen to get a butter that feels like this, do not fret! those granular pieces are shea butter and it is completely safe to use! watch it melt into your skin, trust me.

can I make a bulk order for my event?

I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to! they make great party favors that your guests will never forget. email sales@buttersbyteni.com and we can discuss sizes, scents, and quantities for your event.

what is your return policy?

you can read the return policy here: return policy there will be no refunds issued for melted body butter. if it melts, please place it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes so the butter may solidify. the wonderful qualities of this butter will remain, even if the texture is a little different. 

why is everything lowercase?

I don't like capital letters unless it's for a proper noun, and even then...
